Dr. Shamira Rahim, BSc, DC

Dr. Shamira Rahim holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. She is also a Full Body Active Release Techniques® (ART) Provider.

In addition, she has completed her 200-hour post-doctorate program with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, earning her CACCP credentials with the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice, including being a certified Webster Technique practitioner.

It is my belief that long-term wellness is about prevention, and that with the right tools and support, patients can create a sustainable state of health for themselves.

To support her credentials, Dr. Rahim is certified by the chiropractic national examining boards of Canada and the United States, and is a member of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association, British Columbia College of Chiropractic, Canadian Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and the Society of Weight-Training Specialists. She has also completed courses in Selective Functional Movement Assessment® (SFMA), and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization® (DNS).

Shamira’s approach is to work closely with patients to ensure she fully understands their needs and then develop a healing plan that begins with treating immediate symptoms. This plan is fully supported by education about the patient’s condition and recommending options for creating long-term health and a balanced lifestyle.

Shamira also has a personal interest in the Mind-Body connection, and is continuously pursuing knowledge that supports the innate healing capacities in all of us.

Dr. Chamberlain is currently accepting new patients

Dr. Giselle Chamberlain BSc, DC

Dr. Giselle Chamberlain’s family wellness practice reflects her holistic outlook towards life-long health as well as her dedication to caring for patients of all ages. Raised in Victoria, Giselle attained her Bachelor of Science Degree at UBC, and continued her studies at Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California.

Giselle’s practice has an emphasis in perinatal chiropractic care – care for expectant mothers and their children. The unique physiological and emotional needs in pregnancy and childhood requires special attention and Giselle enjoys providing family chiropractic care as well as being a resource for many of the questions that arise from new parents. In March of 2014 Giselle and her husband Bill welcomed their second beautiful daughter into the world, at home, with the assistance of their midwife and doula.

Giselle is always continuing to enhance her knowledge and skills through further training. She completed her 200-hour post-doctorate program with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in 2008, earning her CACCP credentials with the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice. This training focuses on chiropractic care for families, prenatal/postnatal mothers and children. Dr. Chamberlain is also certified in the Webster Technique, which is a safe and gentle method to restore proper balance and function for pregnant mothers. This balanced state in the pelvis has been clinically shown to allow for optimal fetal positioning. Through chiropractic, infants and children are assisted naturally through their milestones for optimal growth and development.

In addition to her prenatal and pediatric practice, Dr. Chamberlain is also a certified Active Release Technique® (ART) provider. By using this state-of-the-art soft tissue therapy as well as Chiropractic adjustments, she is able to address many musculoskeletal complaints.

Giselle looks forward to sharing her expertise and guidance with families as part of the team at evolve Nurturing Vitality.

Dr. Christine White, BHK, DC

Dr. Christine White was born and raised in beautiful Vancouver, BC where she completed her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at UBC. She spent two years as a Registered Kinesiologist and soon after realized she wanted to offer more to individuals she was working with. Christine decided chiropractic would allow her the opportunity she wanted and this led her to move to Portland, Oregon where she completed her chiropractic degree at the University of Western States in 2011. While she thoroughly enjoyed her time in Portland, Dr. White always knew she would return to Canada, and is now happy to call Vancouver home once again.

In addition to her chiropractic training, Christine has pursued certification in the Active Release Technique courses.  She views continuing education as an important part of her role as a healthcare provider.
